![]() ![]() Thanks for having been there in times of need. I got into the scene at 13 in the early 90's, but I was only old enough to experience the tail-end of what the golden era had to offer.Īnd so, old school hackers who are prolly late 30’s to mid 50’s- now is your time to shine, reminisce, brag, confess, contemplate life, and share. So if I describe some dude with an awkward sense of humor, long grey coat, fingerless black gloves, and round glasses- and you think “hacker”- then your era of hacking is what I want to hear about (cliche as fuck, but there was always that dude). Even seemingly uninteresting things like the meetups- I’m totally interested. At it’s peak, it pretty much felt like we were all on serious missions to accomplish our goals without a trace, always having our teammates’ backs, and if ever fucked with along the path- for some reason (.I guess we were angry)- those individuals were punished with brutal force (usually not physically, even though poisons/explosives/malicious-pranking was basically within everyone’s abilities).ĭespite me not sharing any badass hacking stories, ahaha (my crew had mentors, so we were never ultra elite (outside the scene and in practice we were elite as fuck, though)), I’d LOVE to hear your old school hacking stories! And I’m talking the whole gamut. Except for the most selfish and heartless- in a somewhat idealized vision- hacking was a way of empowering the oppressed, and an opportunity for the unheard voices to right the wrongs of society. ![]() There are so many facets to "hacking" that can be considered separate scenes, but to me, "the scene" was always a multidisciplinary state of mind about learning how things work by extension, learning how the world works. I got into hacking culture in the early 90's, which was at the end of the BBS scene, IRC scene in full force, phreaking had basically peaked (with digital systems slowly being implemented), hacking into servers was easy, cracking software was easy, electronics components were ordered through catalogs, there were a multitude of resources in shopping mall dumpsters, and being able to pick a tubular lock was some elite shit. There was something sort of warm and fuzzy about it, and the general ideology greatly influenced who I am today. Makes me remember how much I used to love the vibe of old school hacking culture- and still do. there will be a blue start button on the right hand side of your screen in edgenuity ckick start when it gives you a question. So I was cleaning out my desk and found some things of mine that I almost forgot about: when in edgenuity make sure the script is running by pressing extentions then clicking on tamber monkey it shoud show a green check mark with enabled next to it if it dose not say enabled then click the word that says disabled with the red X next to it. there it should show a new screen with "EdgeHack" enabled ![]() click on create a new script and deleate everything that is there. open your extentions bar/tab (this looks like a puzzle peace on in the top right connor of google) and click tamper monkey. download tampermonkey or tampermonkey beta from edgenuity is a common site used for middle school, high school and collage classes This is a bot that will get the correct answers right at least 90% of the time on edgenuity. ![]()
